1 W-2 and 2 1099's with about 4-5 small deductions

I would purchase the 2007 program. The version would be Basic if you just wanted Federal, and Deluxe if you want to file Federal and State.

Use the 2006 Tax Year version. 2007 won't come out until next year. :-)
Use any version you want, depending on how much handholding you need. The Basic gives the least amount of necessary guidance, while Deluxe is more thorough in sniffing out deductions, as well as providing calculators and worksheets to help plan for 2007 taxes.
