What type of odor? It could be a the alcohol/hydrogen peroxide you are putting on your ears. It might not be originating from you.
If they don't hurt, it's probably nothing, but I'd see a doctor for a strange odor, especially with discharge. Chances are it's nothing, but if it is an infection it's so much easier to treat it early!

Oh, that's nothing to be concerned about if it isn't gross looking or smelly. That's just your body's natural healing. I suggest waiting 3 months before you change jewelry. It give the holes time to heal without damaging or shocking them further. If you change jewelry, you could cause infection. And that's not fun. Just use an antibacterial foaming soap (like Dial) in the shower to clean your ears. What you want to do, twice a day, is get in the shower and let warm, not hot, water run over your piercings with the jewelry in. This will soften the crusty stuff so it doesn't irritate your piercings. Use the soap to gently clean around your piercings and rinse very well. Twice a day. Don't use alcohol, that strips the good stuff that helps your ears heal. And don't play with the new piercings either! That introduces bacteria, and that will cause infection as well. So, just leave them alone for another month, see how they're doing, if the crusties have stopped, wait one week and then you can wear hoops. If you're still getting crusties, no worries, just wait it out a bit longer. It's different for different bodies, so, even if you have a friend that says, "Oh mine healed in 3 days... I wore hoops." don't assume that yours will heal that quick as well! Just give your new piercings a little time to get adjusted!

Yes,it's normal .You should probably clean your ears morning and night with rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide daily, and use neosporin on your ears too.It does sound like they're infected.Or you may be allergic to the metal earrings and you may have to switch to the real silver or gold earrings .If you still have problems ,wipe some clear nail polish on your earring stubs then let it dry. That will also help itchy ears .It doesnt hurt your ears just make sure the infections gone first.

Many Many Many ear peircings do this. Don't worry, it's just like the smell from sweaty places~so to say, it's wet, moist ooze. Just use alcohol. It's fine. If it was infected it would be red, inflamed, and HURT!
I've got nine in my ears, and all of the older ones do it too!
I'm a nurse, trust me, just clean em at least two or three times a week with alcohol (rubbing)!

Yes this is normal. Your ears have a little "B.O." from the breakdown of skin cells and bacteria around the posts of your earrings. If you remove your earrings regulary and wash your lobes in the shower, also cleaning the posts of your earrings with alcohol or jewelry cleaner should help. Just watch for redness, swelling and pain which indicates infection and you should remove your earrings and use an antibacterial cream for a few days until it clears, clean your earrings and then you should be able to reinsert them.

I can almost guarantee that it's the start of an infection. Go to the drug store and get triple strength antibiotic cream. Apply it twice a day. If it's not better in a week, see the doc.

sounds like you might have an infection in the hole. Try cleaning it with Peroxide and then use a dab of Neosporin on it....
