but it'll probably cost you a few thousand dollars, possibly a million.
if you only formatted once, and never used it since, sophisticated electronic imaging can be done by opening up the card and testing it for residual charges...the NSA or CIA can do it. I don't know if public companies can yet.
The sooner you do it, the better! and keep it away from magnets and electricity.
If those images are worth several thousand dollars, look into it!
If only it were a hard drive...those can be recovered from a format for mere hundreds of dollars, sometimes as little as fifty bucks!

not very likely... formatting pretty much erases the files for good.
yes there is a very small chance with some very sophisticated equipment, but even then the photos might be corrupted.

You might check out Photorescue. I have used that program to recover lost photo files. (datarescue.com)
