Do I have to have my son's permission to register his phone with a tracking agency

first of all you do not need your son's permission to track his phone unless he is over 16. If you want to show him respect you will let him know you are going to monitor his actions to make sure he is respectful of himself and others, this is a good way to let him know you care. If you get a phone for your family via your own phone plan you will get a listing of all his calls etc on your bill as you are paying for it. Hope this helps, take care Heather

Only if the phone is yours.. like part of your phone plan.. call your company. I am hoping he's 17 not 30 :)

Get a Disney phone with a built in GPS so you can follow his location online.

You can use Find My iPhone. Download it on his device and on yours. You will be able to see where his phone is, his battery percentage, and of he loses it you can see where it is. If he loses it in your house, it will play a sound, even if it is on silent.

I'd recommend telling him at the very least. If he found out he'd be very upset.
