I would like some thing that starts with the same letters or sound similar, but not obvious to sex or race when reading a job application.

Tyler.
I know both boys and girls with this name. It sounds similar to Skylar and starts with the same letters as her middle name. Then you could find something that starts with Sk and rhymes with Tylese. Although, it seems to me that Tylese would indicate female rather than being gender-neutral. But, if you can't find a name you like, be creative and come up with a unique name, they are almost always gender-neutral since you created it - no one else will have used it to set a precedence.

Skade, Skena, Skyla, Selena, Seleste
Tyna, Tyne, Tyra

These were the only things that I could find close. Maybe something that would fit with Skylar like Storme, Raine?

Taylor or Tyler are the closest sounding gender neutral names I could think of. Other ideas: Kayden, Casey, or Ashton.
