I would. The problem is, you've just been reading the wrong book and listening to the wrong tales.
God is nothing like he's been described in the OT.

God has very high moral code, which most Christians do not follow, or follow only the ones that don't interfere with their lifestyle.
God does not require burnt offerings. That was only for the Israelites for forgiveness of sins. Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice with his life for forgiveness of all man's sins.
God does not drown children. Wicked parents do. Noah preached for 40 years, so many children grew up knowing what Noah was doing and still did not listen or teach their children.
There is NO burning hell! That is not a bible teaching. God is a god of love and even gives the prospect of a resurrection to those who have died, but did not serve him.
Jehovah God is a just and righteous God. The earth is his creation, humans are his creation and he has a purpose for both.

It is always better to go straight to the source. If you want to know if God has a moral code for us to follow, read the Bible and pray. Do you think that you are lesser to God than anyone else? If you don't want to know, choose to believe the worst of us, regardless of what we claim, or better still, believe those who claim that there is a God and a moral code and behave as if there isn't. Just make sure that you turn your eyes away from those who behave as if there is.

One should really worry about the morality of those who worship sacrifice. I can't think of anything more twisted and sick than erecting multi-million dollar churches to worship someone who was sent on earth for the specific purpose of being tortured, crucified so that people should continue to live among diseases, earthqakes, floods, hurricanes, wars and a good dosage of idiots who can't think, but who are very good at stirring up hatred.
Is that the best plan God could come up with? What a thinker!
It certainly isn't thanks to God that we have science and technology today.
If it wasn't for those lovers of truth, intelligent humans -- I mean explorers, philosophers, and scientists -- who recognized in reason the only power we have against the brutality of nature and for distinguishing reality from fantasy, we would still be living in caves!

Yes, I don't like the God of the Bible. God gave Moses the Ten Commandments and said that all must follow them or perish. King David broke most of them and yet God still loved him, favored him and promised him that the Messiah would come from his line. (Dave was a scumbag, let's face it.)
Lot's wife turned to see her home in Sodom and Gomorrah destroyed. (Hey it was exploding with fire and brimstone!) God turned her to a pillar of salt with no second chance. I don't like a God who plays favorites, one breaks all the rules and is treated well and the other has a minor misstep and it's over. Also God apparently had no problem with Lot having sex with and producing children with his own daughters after his wife became salt. This leads me to conclude that God is sick and twisted.
Also if God is all knowing, why isn't the cure for cancer or the recipe for rocket fuel or any other bit of good information or importance that only an omniscient being would know in the Bible?

you're continuously blending arguments of spirit and the actual international in an attempt to justify your human being questioning as pertains on your arguments antagonistic to God, yet then you absolutely deny the religious element any relevance to His data. both combine them properly or proceed with confusion. God's moral code isn't being compromised via the only which keeps it. area of that moral code is the will of suffering consequences at the same time as the code is broken. you ought to probable favor a gadget of being the position all you had to do is wait lengthy adequate and God will step in and make all issues proper for anybody in spite of attitudes or acts committed. It purely does not artwork that way. guy sinned. guy keeps to stay in sin. guy is residing contained in the ambience he controls, has demanded, and keeps to make stronger. God isn't contained in the corporation of priceless or allowing undesirable habit via stepping in and correcting all the little ailments guy has chosen to convey upon himself. questioning rationally does not insure ideal action. If that were the case there ought to were not something contained in the perfect "2 hundred thousand" years to dissatisfied you. proper? There are those who will act opposite on your will, continuously has been, continuously will be.

Just because God doesn't follow YOUR moral code is irrelevant. The Covenants between God and Man spell out each sides responsibilities and the penalties for failing to comply. God has been totally faithful and man has not.
So much for your theory.

If you live in a western country and many other parts of the world, you are already living under His code. Time to wake up and smell the coffee. Then pick up a Bible and learn something.

You have no excuse for God sending you to Hell, unless you repent.. God offers you forgiveness for your sins through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is up to you to respond.
God hates sin. Unfortunately since the fall of Adam we all inherit this trait to sin. When we choose sin over God we choose disobedience to God. God is perfect. We are not. God offers us eternity with his awesome Holiness but we cannot do it on our own. Because no one is perfect like God, we must be washed in the blood of Christ (the perfect sacrifice) to be seen righteous before a Holy God in order to enter into his presence (heaven). It is your choice. God is extending His offer to you right now.

Good point. I wouldn't hang out with someone who wanted to torture his/her children for disobedience, or who was an absentee parent, or who punished them for not following unclear instructions, or who left it up to people who've never met him/her to write down instructions for the children to follow, clearly contradicting themselves.
What a mess!
