For short distance calling in a brushy area with low visibility, start out with a call that makes the sound of a squeaking mouse, if nothing comes in a short time, revert to one that makes a sound of a squealing rabbit. other than that an electronic call works well where it is legal. To find one simply type in coyote call on E-bay and you will find several different makes and models, They all will probably work on any given outing, to find the best you will have to go trial and error, but you can at least see the makes and models and decide to get one at E-bay price, or go directly to a sports store and buy a new one. Good Luck, It's an experience when they come in to a call.

Prey Killing Scream Animal Call Combo It's made by a company called Quaker Boy, they usually run for about 30-40$ Can. Another one I've used, and love, is a package of 3 calls, called the "Chomper" it has a series of Long range, Short Range, and mouse squeak. Far as I can remember it was about 25$can. I agree with whoever suggested FoxPro, but again, definately not cheap. It's an electronic caller that I haven't seen any less than 180$ Giv'r a go!

Just started this sport last year its much harder than deer hunting, but as far as calls go Iv'e had real good luck with the pup in distress call, snowshoe rabbit call and believe it or not the yellow hammer woodpecker call, in fact I'm in a hunt this weekend and so far got one yote and missed another, still have two days left in the hunt, so I'll being trying a little bit of everything, i made my electronic call from my mp3 player with recorded calls from varmit.com, I just plug a set of mini speakers were my headphones go, to my surprise it works rathe well.

research what prey animals are in the area you plan to hunt, and look for calls fit that type of prey. I'm in southern Michigan and the yotes hunt rabbit, turkey and mice. have had good results with all three type calls as well as a call that mimics a yote howling, which is a great locator call. give a good howl and find where they reply and try to get in near that area then use the prey calls.
