Obviously I know girl's don't prefer toupee's over natural hair, but given the choice between a bald guy (shaved or otherwise) and a guy with a toupee, which do they prefer. I mean fake hair isn't good, I realize that, but I think a lot of girls would be more comfortable bringing around a guy with a toupee to her friends and family that she would a bald guy (under the assumption of course that no one else knows its fake). I am young (26) and balding and bummed out about it, not sure what my best option would be. I certainly dont want to wear a toupee but I don't want to be a baldy either.

Listen, i'll say it once and i'll say it again. Don't hide the hair loss. just give yourself a #1 all around. Looks intentional, looks aerodynamic, in my case, happens to make me look more attractive.

I for one have NEVER been attracted to a guy who wears a toupee. Women are attracted to a guy with confidence, and when a man is wearing a toupee, it is like he is screaming to the world "I am balding and I am not secure with myself about it". That is such a turnoff. Another turnoff is when a man does the combover thing. It is obvious that he is trying to cover up a bald spot. There is no shame in baldness. In fact, bald is in right now. Be confident and hold your head high. As long as you are a nice guy and treat a woman with respect, she will appreciate you for who you are. Many women consider bald guys or guys with shaved heads very sexy. I have seen many bald guys who I thought were sexy because of their character, personality and how they carried themselves. Many guys shave their heads on purpose. My son is is almost 18 and he is extremely handsome (I'm not trying to brag - only trying to make a point). He has a beautiful head of dark brown, somewhat curly hair. Many girls find him very attractive. I see the looks and giddiness when he approaches them. He is considering shaving his head. He looks at himself and finds flaws (i.e., "Mom, my jaw is crooked, and my one eyebrow is higher than the other one"), yet I can tell you, he could be a model. He wants to shave his head because it would be easier to manage, and because he thinks it looks good. I say, more power to him, if that is what he wants to do. It's fashionable to be bald. If you are worried about your receding hairline, get it cut real short, because then it is not as obvious. Instead, it will look like you are aware of your balding head and are embracing it. Or, you could simply shave it. But above all, PLEASEEEEEEE don't get a toupee!

My own opinion as a woman is go short where you have hair and let the rest be bald. There are some seriously sexy bald guys- in fact, your sexiness probably has very little to do with your hair. Stay fit and athletic, and whatever you do, DO NOT do that ponytail thing with the hair in the back if you are balding on top, or even let the little hair you have grow long- that looks pathetic-
A good looking guy, who happens to be bald- can still be totally hot! Go with it! Oh, and a little bit of a tan helps too- too white on top (if your a white guy) looks bad, let yourself get a little color-

No, no a toupee is so unbelievably cheesy! Embrace your baldness, shave your head. It is sexy when a man can accept himself the way he is. Toupees are bad in so many ways.

Bald is better imnsho...and if it's pretty much all gone on top or so thin that a comb-over looks silly, then go for the gusto and shave it all off...
Bald is preferable to a man-wig...and I know plenty of women who dig bald men over guys with natural hair as well...

Welllll....i think i would perfer a guy to just shave his head bald...if he was loosing his hair over a toupee because i wouldnt know how to handle it if it fell off or something...
Plus...isnt natrual better?

don't be bummed, bald IS beautiful! better to be real than wear a piece, lots of girls like bald, and the right one will love you regardless of being bald, fat, etc. in fact, it may even work to your advantage, as many girls have image problems, they will feel like you can relate more, and be trusted to recognize them as worthy if you have such an issue - good luck!
ps - wearing a piece is usually obvious, and just says you don't like yourself for what you are, so be you!

i dont like toupee`s. i say if the guy is bald dont hide it, just be yourself.
