Typically when someone we care about very deeply leaves us (either through death or end of a relationship)...luckily though, hearts heal and can be very resilient if we want them to be.

it depends on the situation and whether or not you had real feelings for this person or whether or not the break up or whatever is causing it was for a good reason nor not. if you didn't have feelings for them and they broke up with you you shouldn't feel heart break but otherwise you should feel something because you did care about them and they hurt you. i have never experienced this but that is how i picture it.
