I have the absolute assurance of heaven when I die because of Jesus Christ. It's not a head belief or an empty promise.....it's the truth of the Word of God that can only be revealed to you by the Holy Spirit.

It's just like being born, you do it naturally. Everyone knows from first hand experience otherwise they wouldn't be here, so you already were dead. After you die other people are born and so on. You might have children and they are 'you' just as you were your parents, grandparents etc all the way back to the Big bang and even before that, everything is one

This is the analogy I usually use...

If my cat asked another cat what will happen when we take her to the vet, could that other cat tell her? Of course not. A cat can't comprehend what a car is, or a road, and certainly not who the vet is and what the greater purpose is for her being there.

Assuming there IS an afterlife, I suspect that what lies beyond this life is equally incomprehensible to us at our present level of functioning. Don't worry. You'll find out for sure one day, as will we all. In the meantime I'd say concentrate on enjoying the life you know you have!

Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's

I think people make up religions so they can believe SOMETHING happens after they die. But it's just nothing. Which isn't so bad...you certainly won't have a negative opinion about it...you're dead.

We awaken to our true nature.

You might find it helpful to read some books on Near Death Experience. There have been many people who have died and come back to tell about it. Their experiences are universal.

Well, I'll be dead. But as far as an afterlife? I do not know.

Oh and I plan to be cremated...don't like the dark or small cramped spaces.
