Trail Hiker--Theism has two meanings:

1)the belief in one God as ruler and creator of the universe, and
2)belief in the existence of god or gods (as opposed to atheism

I believe I've covered these grounds, but thanks for sharing.

They believe that God had a creator, a series of gods with no ultimate sourse.

They have not heard of St Thomas Aquinas:

Nature of the Trinity
Aquinas argued that God, while perfectly united, is also perfectly described by three interrelated persons. These three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) are constituted by their relations within the essence of God. The Father generates the Son (or the Word) by the relation of self-awareness. This eternal generation then produces an eternal Spirit "who enjoys the divine nature as the Love of God, the Love of the Father for the Word."

This Trinity does not exist in separation from the world. On the contrary, the Trinity serves to communicate God's self and God's goodness to human beings. This takes place through the Incarnation of the Word in the person of Jesus Christ and through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (indeed, the very essence of the Trinity itself) within those who have experienced salvation by God .

They believe eleven men claim to have seen the original golden tablets on which The Book of Mormon was given to Joseph Smith.
But most of them took back their statements."

They left the Church .

The only Apostle who renounced Christ's testimony hanged himself. The others were all martyrs for Him.

They do not understand:
The LDS faith came out of Protestantism which came out of Catholicism.

Theism is the belief in one god, especially the one that made the universe. Having explained that a Theist can also belong to a certain religion. More specifically to your question, if one follows a religion then they should be prepared to support the doctrine of that religion and support that religion financially, if they have the means. If they don't have the means then there should be no feeling of guilt.

No.

Tithing is a Jewish Law, and Gentiles aren't required to follow the laws. This is something that both Jews and Christians agree.

Christians honor the laws and apply them, though, and there's no error in this.

Jesus once said, "Yes, you should tithe, but you should not leave the more important things undone--justice and mercy."

When he said this, he was talking to Jews, not Gentiles, and there's no reason for us as non-Jews to take these words literally. However, the advice he gives to give justice and mercy higher regard is more a part of our religion than tithing.

Followers of Jesus regard ALL of Jesus' teachings, including this one:

"If you would follow me, sell everything you have, give the money to the poor and THEN come and follow me."

This is a bit more than 10%, wouldn't you say?

Well, I am Mormon and I pretty much always pay my tithing. There is sometimes I forget to take a check to church and then have to pay it the next week...but most of the time I pay it first and it is such a blessing. My bishop said once that it's one of the commandments we can live perfectly (or the nearest to perfection). I strive to always pay my tithing. If I ever miss, I always get caught up the next week.

Don't know. I've always paid my tithing in full. I'm sure I would if I didn't. To Mahal... if you heard your next door neighbor telling some one across the street "I justed bombed the neighboorhood, you need to leave" but didn't tell you does that mean you don't need to leave as well? Think about your POOR logic... about as useful as your steel comments.

Theist is a broad term for one who believes in the existence of "God".. I happen to be a theist who doesn't believe in Jesus.. so, tithes don't pertain to me... answer? Nope not a bit.

If you don't give with a giving heart and the right motives and true faith, the only thing you will get out of it is loss.
