I know there are plenty of military hiring events in the US such as Recruit Military and MilitaryStars, I am wondering if Canada has a similar event type.

It's the same thing. Maybe in Canada there are not as many events as in US.

Yes, the Canadian Forces are looking to beef up; they have recruiting offices in various cities and also maintian a presence at job fairs. They also have special incentives for specialists such as doctors and mechanics who are already trained in their professions.
