My daughter had a rash there on her foof (her word not mine)
We found the creams given by the doctor worked while we were administering them but soon flared back up again.
Eventually we found she wasn't wiping herself properly - it was a form of nappy rash
We now use non-perfumed moist toilet wipes instead of paper
She uses these better and has had no re occurrences

You didn't say what your doctor had diagnosed, just what he had prescribed - what he has prescribed sounds like it is a fungal infection - such as thrush. This can keep recurring and may just need treatment of the same creams again. However if the creams are not working any more, then a steroid cream may be required. Go back to you doctor - regardless of anything else, - the child can not be left in this condition - it is extremely painful. Go back and keep going back at the first sign of a recurrence until you get on top of this. In the meantime try some natural yorgurt on the rash - this calms the inflamation and eases the itching - it will make your child more comfortable until you get to the doctor but will not clear up the condition. If your doctor is not available today take your child to a paediatric clinic/hospital - I would not allow my child to go on one more day like that.

My cousin who was 6 had this same problem and for 3 years this when on the rashes only occured on her inner thighs and sometimes her lower stomach but when they took her to a specialist they suggested they get a water filter in the pipes so the chemicals are taken out she never had the problem again. I've never heard of someone who was alergic to water before this but i guess anything can happen.

It could be your laundry detergent or something on her clothing is irritating her skin. Make sure you wash her new clothes before allowing her to wear them. There are lots of chemicals used when making new clothes. Maybe start washing her clothes in Dreft or one of those other gentle or hypoallergenic detergents. Keep her skin moisturized with hypoallergenic lotion after bath- she could be getting eczema. My baby was getting little spots like that and this fixed the problem.

Possibly a sweat rash or allergy? Take her back to the doctors again and persist until it's gone.

Are you using hypoallergenic products w/ out fragrance? Make sure you are, even down to the laundry soap and TP.
Don't use dryer sheets either, see if that helps.
