A guy I have been dating for 2 years spoke to my father on the phone.My father asked if he loved me and my boyfriend stated that I was his rock.Hey men out there, what does this really mean being a mans rock?

this is a good thing for him to say. It sounds like you two are pretty serious though because of this statement. It means that you are his stability, like a rock is stable and for the most part unchanging. He depends on you when he has a bad day or just a bad time. And you're there for him when he needs you. Mostly you keep him together in rough times.

That's a way of saying that you are his suppport, it means a lot, maybe for him the word love was too much when talking to your father. But a rock is someones support, someone who is always there for him. Someone he can lean on.
