i owe a creditor not the IRS so will they take my IRS"s refund.I guess that i should have put it that way the frist time lol.Thanks ahead of time for the 411.

The IRS will not typically get involved with a creditor. So, you will get your refund.

The creditor can, however, come after the refund once the IRS has sent it to you.

The key exception is child support payments.

If it's something like a doctor bill or credit card, probably not. If it's to a government agency, or child support or defaulted student loans, then they probably will take it.

No, ordinary creditors cannot capture a tax refund.

(You may be ordered to turn it over if you're in the middle of a bankruptcy, but even then it can't be taken directly.)

Not normally, unless it is a government agency, or like back child support or something like that.
