Whenever you want to tell them. some people like to wait until they are showing... some like to tell as soon as they know, or somewhere inbetween the two. It's up to you and him. Maybe another week or so if you don't want to take away from your sister in law's excitement.

Tell your close friends and family now. They will help support you through the emotional first few months. Tell the rest of your friends and family when you feel you are ready. Tell your co-workers only after you have told your boss. It would not bode well to have your boss find out from a co-worker. A good time to tell your boss is when you begin to show.

Many people wait until the first trimester is over.... I can't keep a secret for that long!!!
Give your sister-in-law a little more time...
Family and friends... 2 months
Co-workers/Bosses... whenever, not necessary until you start showing
I guess as long as your family and his family don't talk to each other... you could tell your family anytime.

It's really up to you and how comfortable you are with sharing. After a previous miscarriage at 12 weeks and some false starts, I wanted to wait longer before we told people about this one (I'm 20 weeks now). We told my parents, hubby's parents and my brother right away but swore them to secrecy. We told the rest of the family after my 13 week check up. Not long after that we told close friends. Anyone after that, we're just telling as we see them and as it comes up. So, tell who you want to tell. Shout it to the world if you want! Don't worry that your news will overshadow your new niece or nephew, but do try to be sensitive to the way you announce it. I'm sure your brother and sister-in-law would be thrilled to know that their child will soon have a new cousin and I am sure they would be so happy for you. Congratulations!

I would wait until you are 6-8 weeks pregnant. By that time, you have possibly seen a doctor, and will be able to answer the questions your family and friends will be asking. Make sure to tell both families and close friends first. Then tell coworkers.
Goodluck and congrats on the baby!

I would wait till the 12 weeks mark. I'll tell you why...I has started telling people at teh 8 weeks mark...1-1/2 weeks later I had a u/s and founf that it was a blighted ovum, and had to ahve a d&c. It was hard when people were asking me how the pregnancy was going and I had to tell them that I lost it...with the second one, I waitied till 12 weeks.

in my own opinion, i would wait til after your first trimester to make sure everything is ok. we told everyone as soon as we found out about my sister being pregnant and then about 2 weeks later, she miscarried. anything can happen in the first 3 months, make sure all is good before telling everyone. and by the way, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!(to you and your sister-in-law)

In my opinion....
Tell your immediate family and close friends whenever you feel comfortable - but only if you can handle telling them if something were to go wrong. (I'm sure nothing will go wrong.)
Tell everyone else after your 3-month mark, but definately before your 4-month mark in case you start to show.

Whenever you feel comfortable. Everyone will find out eventually... unless you can play it off like you're getting a beer gut.
