I think it is very normal to talk to your boyfriend everday. Communicating is the key success to every relationship whether the conversation is five minutes or a hour long. Don't call him back give him time to call you.

Of course it's normal. Back off a little, let him have his own space. Unless you have a reason not to trust him, then there's no sense in worrying that just because he hasn't called you that he's avoiding you or that he's hiding something. You don't know what's going on in his life, and perhaps that's the issue. He has a right to his privacy and his business that may have nothing to do with you. Don't take it personally.
Appearing to be clingy or possessive is a sure way to get rid of a guy - works every time.
I talk to my girlfriend every day. But then, I live with her so it's tough to get around.

Yeah, that can be normal. Unless you think he's deliberately avoiding you. But it is a little odd that his silence comes immediately following the letter. I'd wait til tomorrow, but then call again. And share your feelings--ask him (nicely) why he didn't call you back, make sure he feels okay...in other words, try to communicate (both ways) about how you are feeling and what the expectations are about talking...

Yes, it's normal not to speak to your bf every day (esp if you don't live together).
However, your situation sounds different as you wrote a "love letter" and now there's silence when your post implies you are accustomed to speaking to him daily. Perhaps the letter was a bit "heavy" for him. Did you leave a message when you called? If so, the ball's in his court...it's frustrating but wait it out...

for my bf - no. for the past ones - yes...they didnt last long. but i find it odd that he wanted and kept asking u to write him a letter. maybe he needed proof of u or the relationship. nonetheless, if he doesnt call within a week (a few days from now) then find someone that is willing to keep u more in mind (and knows how to use a phone)

relax its perfectly normal i havent spoke to my bf for a week and y would he ask you to write a love letter to him your supposed to do that out of your heart not from him asking you to. Try calling him again and if he doesn't answer then hes probably busy at that moment, lost his phone, just got to it when you hung up and didn't have enough credit to ring you back or hes avoiding you.

It just depends on what kind of relationship you two have. It seems like he may be wanting a little more space then you. The first thing to do is talk w/ him about what he is wanting out of a relationship. The worst thing to do is hide how you feel and never tell him!

Yea thats totally normal! I dont think its necessary to talk to a boyfriend or girlfriend every day. Thats exactly how you get sick of someone! I only see my boyfriend 2 times a week. He doesnt like it that way but I like to see my friends too and I want to keep them around... the more you ditch your friends the less and less they are willing to be there for you... know what i mean.?

You dont do anything! everything is fine! dont think the worse, think the BEST! People really desire other people that give them SPACE! So not talking for a few days is perfecly normal... if you want to talk to him, why dont you try attempting yourself? If he doesnt talk to you for a long period of time, then just tell him how you are feeling. And just be honest!

I guess it depends on how old you are. I think the more mature you are the more mature your relationship is (hpefully). And most adults who are in relationships keep in contact daily because they know communication is the key to a good relaitonship. But if you are young, most relationships are very short term, so it's really whatever makes you happy at the time.
