I find it kind of amusing when you always see questions asking what an individual should get tattooed on them....because they they really want a tattoo, they have no clue what to get tattooed on them...but they want the tattoo to be "deep and meaningful" ...random thought...

Well, it's better than having someone ask you to help them pick out flash that'll make them look "tough" or take in a photo and want the same design because it's "original." That bothers me, but "my fate depends on you, anonymous" is even worse. If you go to an artist, they can ask questions, offer suggestions... but it's a lot harder to do online.

if they are asking for an opinion there is nothing wrong with that when they start asking what to get they dont need a tattoo becuase they will end up regreting it.
saying you want a tat and would like suggestions is one thing saying you want a tat "what do I get" is another ...

Well, I can see asking for some ideas to maybe get your brain thinking, but to just start with no idea whatsoever is a little weird.

i know! i don't get it. they're obviously just getting a tattoo just to get a tattoo. for me, it's usually that i see something or have an experience where i just HAVE to put it on my body somewhere.

They might as well go own and pick the first piece of flash they see. If you are going to get a tat it should be as unique as you as make it
