The Magic Bullet is one of the best kitchen gadgets I've ever bought. . .and I am a hardnose when it comes to small appliances.

I love soup, but the average canned stuff is full of sugar and sodium. The Magic Bullet makes terrific homemade soups, and you can cook the ingredients in the microwave in the same container that you blend them in. I'd love the blender if that's all I ever used it for.

It's also good for making whipped cream and whipped cream desserts. I love it for egg salad, and it does a pretty good job of making peanut butter, too. And low-sugar smoothies are easy to make, too. . .that's another favorite use I have for the blender.

I will say that it doesn't work quite as effortlessly as you might think after seeing the infomercial. A lot of times, you have to remove the container and shake it to get the unprocessed foods down to the blades. And as someone else pointed out, you have to be careful with chopping soft vegetables like onions or mushrooms, or else you'll end up with mush.

But other than those caveats, I'd recommend the Magic Bullet to anyone who wants to eat healthier and spend less time in the kitchen.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my bullet! Just used it for the third time today, as I have since I got it about a year ago. It is not QUITE as effortless as shown on tv for some things (really thick stuff tends to stick to the sides a bit, I just whack it on the counter and carry on). I use it in the morning to make quick muffin mix or pancakes, for lunch I use it to make homemade pimento cheese spread or tuna salad, nights I make pasta sauce (does just as described on tv for pasta recipes) I also make homemade hair gels, cosmetics, etc. in a seperate one I use for household stuff-you can get them in walmart now for 49 bucks for one, but you get two if you do the tv offer. If mine broke, I would be on the way to the store for a new one straght away. Worth every penny, and yes, I was able to eliminate my blender, food processor etc. I am not impressed with the juicer part tho, too slow and wont juice hard veggies well. I hope this helps

I have one and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i use it just about every day. I ground coffee beans in it, makes great omelet mixture, awesome cheese dip, chop onions it it, makes great homemade salsa, makes great shakes for the kids, they can even use it , its that easy. Worth every penny for it and itdoes come with a lil recipe book to give u ideas on how to make things, as u go along u will make up your own little recipes using it. I bought mine off QVC at a one time special for 59.99 for 2 complete sets I gave one away as a wedding gift to my best friend and she LOVES it too. After 4 yrs of using it almost on a daily basis its still worksand looks like new. Get one u won't regret it!!!!!

I love mine- I can shred cheese with it, make smoothies, make pancakes, milkshakes, even did the salsa (yum!), made mousse, sorbet (YUMMY!) and some cupcakes. Oh yes, and just about every frozen alcoholic drink imaginable!!!

Didn't do good with the onions though- made onion soup when I tried to chop them. Probably just my fault though.

Just find someone else that wants one too and go half with it- they send you two if you order it from the commercial. That way it's MUCH cheaper! =)

My younger sister got one for Christmas and although I was skeptical I am totally jealous now because it does everything. Look around at discount stores. I think my mom got my sisters for just over $30 at Alco.
