You are lucky to get gravy- When I was young we never had gravy. moan moan moan, that's all you do. Perhaps there's something wrong with you taste buds? Have you thought of that? Kids of today don't know they're born. I'll give you gravy. All tastes the same eh? Right then, no gravy for you until you learn to appreciate it although you never will if you don't eat it. Gravy. Don't get me started about gravy. Or kids. I'm going to bed. No, you're going to bed and without gravy!

Hello,
Oh no they don't all taste the same, you should be using quailty gravy makings, If you are making gravy from scratch, you should use all the natural meat juices, mix to a smooth paste with a little corn flour to thicken it up, then, slowly, add very hot water from your vegetables, and let it simmer awhile but keep stirring for a few minutes.
Second option, find a store that sells ready made mixings for Gravies, and select which flavour you want or need, this is to say that if you are roasting a chicken, use Chicken flavoured gravy granules, and follow the instructions on the pack, to these instructions it's a good idea to add a chicken stock cube, mix it all together with a mixture of meat juices and potato/vegetable water, and stir until you reach the desired consistency.
Types of gravy makings common to us in the UK
BISTO or OXO FOR BEEF, ADD A STOCK CUBE.
BISTO OR OXO FOR LAMB, ADD A LAMB STOCK
OXO CUBE..
BISTO OR OXO FOR CHICKEN, ADD A CHICKEN
STOCK CUBE.
and lastly , for vegetarians the is a Bisto gravy product and stock cubes by Oxo for their delicate palate.
There really is a right way to make the right gravy for your choice of meat. Mmmmmmm, Enjoy...... Tony M

Okay, okay... I'm looking. All gravies are not the same at all. The cream gravy that goes over my chicken fried steak is not at all like the onion gravy that livens up my pot roast. And sausage gravy over home made biscuits isn't even a kissing cousin to beef stroganoff gravy. Now apologize for making that assumption. Really, now !!! Hmph !!!

I don't think they taste the same. I don't put turkey gravy on beef for instance. And only white sausage gravy goes on biscuits. They're all different. Unless you're comparing beef gravies against each other.

Brown, Chicken, and the Biscuits and Gravy, Gravies all taste different. They compliment the meat that your mom or whomever dries out - and if it all "tastes the same" it still needs to compliment the meat you are putting it on.

It tastes different. You have turkey gravy and beef gravy, as well as chicken gravy. WE even have au juss. You can either buy gravy or make it from the beef or chicken or turkey juice.
