if i created another Yahoo account and asked question and always gave myself the best answer? Really who better to answer my questions then myself, who knows me better than myself? A qustion is -5 points and a correct answer is +10 so i would actully be gaining points.

Depends,
does this action please some god? Or please some chosen society or group? Or just pleasing some emotional whim?
All the above would be immoral due to the ability to sacrifice me in support of all three.
The only moral system supports the individuals life.

Morally it wouldn't be wrong, but you would certainly have to be a very lonely person to want to do this. There are other things in life more important than being voted the best answer in yahoo answers. Go out with your friends or watch a movie. Don't spend all your time hoping that you'll be the next best answer. That is a sad sad life.

I answered the question which you asked later (referring to this one, apparently) without having read this one first. To the question here I would reply that, if there is no prohibition to what you propose, and if that is how you want use Questions and Answers, then go ahead! I haven't been a member here for very long, but I have assimilated the concept that points are what matter! Who knows how those people who have 200,000 plus points accumulated them??

I'm sure people have done it, and are probably doing it right now, but it's almost like robbing the people with the real best answers from those points, so unless you thought you actually had the best answer, I think it would be slightly morally wrong.

more disturbed than morally wrong. if you need acknowledgment so badly that you create a troll just to get it.....
but, it is not really surprising... in the old message board format, trolls would constant create several id's, agreeing with themselves, and rating their own answers higher..... an illusions strength in numbers... i can see where this could be a weakness for this yahoo answers format... easier for trolls to validate their own answers, and a little harder to spot, without a little more work.
just like the trolls:
-asking a "question" just to agree with yourself is lame.... if you are not looking for real input, you are wasting your time.
-agreeing with yourself will never make you right
of course, one possible benefit of the answers format.... someone who ask es a loaded question, and agrees with the person who completely agrees, is easier for the average person to ignore. it is less likely that the ask er is asking objectively. (granted, sometimes someone who agrees might give the best answer, but people are less likely to listen, nonetheless.)

You didn't sign a contract. It's not in the rules that you can't. I'd say go for it if you have the time. It's just a game.
Have fun! :)
