There is a Polish food called galareta z nozek. It's jellied pickled pig's feet. It looks like gray Jello with chunks in it. It's delcious with served with vinegar poured over it.

Would you eat it?

Most people are not that open minded about new cuisine's. I would defiantly try it. If your going to serve it to anyone just come up with a appetizing name. They gray jello is actually the rendered pig fat, cartilage, and juices. The longer you cook the feet the thicker the jello with become. Enjoy

We have a dish similar to that, it`s called Head Cheese. It was originally made with a pig`s head but now it`s the feet. Delicious spread on toast.

if you eat ANY gelatin, you are already eating pigs feet. Jello and gelatin are made from the hooves, hides, bones and catilage of pigs. Yuck.......no I wouldnt eat it or anything with gelatin. I use chia seeds to make my own (think chia pet) They gel up nicely when you soak them in water

Yes and it is wonderful with vinegar ! My Lithuanian Mother made it and added pork chops to the mix; they whole family loved it. I would like a recipe since my Mother is no longer with us.

I'm a vegetarian, so left up to my own devices, I wouldn't. But if I was visiting someone and they set it front of me, I'd eat it to avoid offending my host or hostess.

And I'd hope that the vinegar was good and strong!

Yes I would, and I have. We have something we make in my Country that's similar, it's called Souse-pronounced: Sowse.
It's absolutely delicious! It's the same pickled ingredient, but with cucumbers and hot peppers. :)
