The things that you eat can cause your belly to swell. If your stomach stays bloated all the time it is a sign that you need to be cleansed out.
Change the way that you eat try eating things that will cause you to go to the restroom more often like Fruit, water & 100% cranberry juice and daily vitamins.
Also get you some herbs that will help the process. You can get a colon cleanser just about anywhere. My favorite is from Trivita.
Food can get stored away inside of your colon if you don't keep it cleansed.
Check out these website's for more info.
Be Blessed!

There is a lot of buzz about intestinal flora these days. The bacteria in your intestines that break down foods play a very important rule in the digestive process and are sensitive to imbalance. Check out this stuff...

Be sure to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables to get sufficient fiber to allow your intestinal tract to work properly; also drink plenty of fluids. If you have trouble with bowel movements, try using a stool softener. If you have any sort of fever at all associated with the swelling, you should check with your doctor, as this could indicate something a bit more serious.

This is also known as distention and it can be caused by food or numerous gastrointestinal issues, such as IBS. Do you have any other symptoms like heartburn or nausea? If it's bothersome and accompanied by other symptoms, I'd consult a doctor. Some intestinal problems can become serious if they are ignored. Good luck!
