I found a tick looking bug on my dog the other day. I havent seen any more, i found it in his ear, and there are lots of black dots maybe eggs in his same ear. I picked it off with tweezers and burned it, im wondering what kind of bug it may be, and how do i make sure they are gone for good.

The black spots in his ears are mites. You will need to get medication from the vet to get rid of them. Our cat had them once - but once treated -they have not ever come back.

Need more specifics but sounds like your dog #1 has ear mites. This can be treated with drops bought form the vet or your local pet store. However, you should treat your dog for fleas with revolution form the vet, it also works for ticks. You must live down south or somewhere warm because it is not tick season in the midwest. Too cold. Definately take him to the vet for a check up though

I didn't chiuahuahuas were big enought for bugs to attach to, LOL.

If you live in the desert it could be a desert flea. My cats had them in West Texas.
