Fear. They are afraid that some pseudo-religious whacko will set off a bomb while they are there.
They also object to nut-cases dictating what happens with their bodies. Same as the elderly object to nut-case politicians deciding what medical care they may have and when they should die.

It's pro-CHOICE. Not pro-abortion.
I am probably who you're talking about and I am "boisterous, loud and obnoxious" b/c it's a hard enough decision w/o someone trying to tell you what you're doing is wrong, based on a book that's a collection of fairy-tales meant to explain what was unexplainable at the time. Oh, wait! I forgot. The Bible doesn't actually have any verses about 'fetuses' at all. But, there don't seem to be a lot of Xians who don't 'believe' the rights of a fully developed human are more substantial than an undeveloped fetus.
FYI: It's not a celebration, duh!
I have not ever had one myself but if I was ever unfortunate enough to be put in that situation, I certainly would not appreciate an ill-informed individual telling myself and others I was murderer!

I have an idea...why don't you ask your mom, or an aunt or a sister...Your actions prove you to uncultured...what are your motives here? Why don't you just say what you have to say and move on because you seem to have some unattractive qualities kicking about.

Some activists are just obnoxious anyway. And to set the record straight, most pro-choice women actually do not like abortion.
I am pro-choice and still hate the idea of abortion and have made sure that I never have to experience it. I just think it's a personal decision that should not be made by the government.
Pro-choice does not mean pro-abortion. It also means you can choose to be a parent.

You equate boisterous, loud and obnoxious with celebration? It's not joy, it's anger that you're seeing. Anger that a group of politicians thinks they have the right to tell women what kind of medical decisions to make, anger that groups of religious people think they can insert themselves into one of the most personal and difficult decisions a woman can make.
And note that we don't use our anger to justify murdering abortion providers or bombing medical clinics.
And by the way, we're not "pro-abortion." We don't go out and encourage everyone to have one. There is real meaning to the description "pro-choice;" and note that this also includes the choice *not* to have one.

Well, many of them have had abortions and are struggling with inner feelings of doubt and guilt, so they address that by rabidly shouting in defense of abortion. It makes them feel better about their actions. I know, I was one of those women. 17 years ago, I had an abortion with many reservations, and my regret grew over the years. But I was one of those who was vehemently pro-choice and "in-your-face" about it, too.
But I've grown over the years, and have come full circle. I am now pro-life in ALL instances; against abortion for ANY reason, against the death penalty, against euthanasia. My change has come as a result of putting aside my guilt about what I did and having the courage to face the facts, as painful as they were. For years, I simply didn't WANT to know scientific facts about embryology...it would have been too painful. I avoided shows on the Discovery channel about pregnancy. I was afraid I'd see pictures of a 12 week old unborn baby and be forced to face the reality. It was more comfortable to go on believing that a 12 week old fetus was a "blood clot the size of a marble" than to learn the truth. It just made it easier to live life every day.
To face and accept unabashed truth is to come full circle and reach peace with oneself.
These women know that abortion is wrong, but there are so many sociological pressures on women to have abortions and to support other women who have them that most don't have the strength to buck the system. I look at the loudest voices as those who are the most conflicted, and I pity them...I was once where they were and I pray that someday they will be released from their prison of bitterness and complicit ignorance.

Anything to limit overpopulation = infestation of the earth. People are contaminating the earth and killing off animal and plant species at a terrible rate. It is all the goofy religions' faults. They are trying to outnumber each other by making more people faster. Everyone is worried about killed volcanoes, asteroids, Gama bursts, and global climate change. What about when we run out of resources and contaminate the globe completely? Limit numbers to 1,000,000,00 and let the system work so we can move into space and prevent the extinction of the human race in a pool of its own waste!

Pro-life people are just as bad. Remember, pro-choice (not pro abortion because they aren't the same thing at all even if pro-lifers like to claim that) people don't bomb abortion clinics to get their point across. They're just loud about what they support.

No one is pro-abortion. What they are advocating is a right for a woman's right to make decisions on issues regarding her own body.

I am pro choice and proud of it. I celebrate that idiotic religious dogma has not been able to take away a woman's right to choice.
