She is 2 years old tommorrow, and she and her twin both have been showing interest. How do you deal with the nightime issues since she is hooked up to a pump, and stuck in a crib until she is 3 or 4? Also I had read to reduce fluid to make it easier to predict when they will need to go, but with her it is NOT an option. Every ounce is precious, counted, and non negotiable. Thanks in advance!

*a g-tube is a tube place on the abdomen that goes from the tummy to the outide. Its for feeding a child who can't or won't eat, or who has a calorie deficit. daytime you fill up a giant syringe and bulisk feed and at night she is hooked up to a kind of pump(looks like an IV pump) that drip feeds her about 2oz an hour all night long*

This is a question for your doctor or nurse practitioner. Is your feeding pump on a movable pole? I don't understand why a child with a simple G tube needs to be confined to a crib; are there other issues? I often let preschoolers with gtubes walk to the BR either pushing the feeding pump or temporarily disconnecting it.
If disconnecting it, the pump is placed on standby and feeds are resumed when the child gets back to bed. No fluids are lost as the pump will run until 7:03 am instead of 7:00am.

How about a bedside potty well within the length of the tubing?

I would ask her doctor. Nobody on here (or probably nobody) will know. That one is VERY difficult. Good luck
