If you have a condition that causes you to behave immaturely, how do you know how to "act mature"? Either one is mature, or they are not. Very few adults behave in a mature manner all the time...most of us get silly, cut up, act foolish, etc from time to time.
Whatever your personality it's preferable to associate with people who like us for who we are...not who we "act like". If your boyfriend doesn't like you for who you are, then he's not a good match for you.

If you can "act" mature, then you probably are mature and just using the FAS as an excuse for poor behavior and choices.

My step brothers both were born with FAS and they don't act any different than the rest of us.They just look a little different. I think you are using it as an exuse to get away with things.

i think u should be u. that is who he should love and want to be with not someone u have to be. My dad has always told me if someone can accpect me for me then they r not worth ur time or love. that he should love u for u and want u. he should also understand that it is more the fas than u. GOOD LUCK!!!!

only if you're happy being someone you're not.. but if that were the case, why wouldn't you be that person to begin with?
it's never worth losing yourself to gain someone else. you're the one that has to live with you.. and you're the only one that will be there every second until you die.

No. Be yourself. If his behavior bothers you now, you'll be sick of him in six months. This not a good match!
