totally agree. if you need to believe in god, that's fine, but don't do it surrounded by people who condemn you. do it on your own time and in your own place where you can actually experience self love.

Your question is an expression of bigotry.

Why would you care who hangs out with whom? And why would you assume that all religious people are homophobes? All you're really doing is generalizing in the same way that prejudiced people generalize and convince themselves to hate entire groups of people.

I personally believe that homosexuality is a perversion of nature, but I'm not a homophobe. I've been on dates with gay men, lived with gay men, and had other gay friends.

The behavior (not the person) disgusts me in the same way unattractive women disgust me. But I also have many unattractive women as friends, some of whom are the most valueable, especially elderly women. I can do this because I value human beings beyond their sexual uses (in fact, sexual utility to me is a very low priority when making friends).

You have to learn to value and live with human beings of all ethnicities, backgrounds and behaviors, otherwise you're going to drive yourself nuts with intolerance if you live in a city of any size.

It depends on what religion they're hanging out in. Some faiths have a lot less (or no) problems with homosexuality, like most of the NeoPagan religions.

I am straight and atheist. But even I know that there are many gay-friendly congregations. I have a cousin whose lesbian "marriage" was blessed in a Catholic church. In Texas, no less!

Religious is not necessarily synonymous with bigotry and homophobia.

they do it all their lives, actually, grow up the same way we all do, hearing the same homophobic crap. At puberty they go through a phase of denial, and then a phase of self judgement(loathing), and some progress no further due to the social stigmas they were raised with

Because they too are bigots. Obviously they are not homophobes, but they do like to associate with fellow bigots.

The bible says that being guy it's wrong, but the bible also says JUDGE NOT...Jesus is love. I may not agree with that life style, but they are people too. They have to answer for their own sins as well as you and I.So in other words.... mind your business!!!
