It is possible to spay a dog that is in heat, however the blood loss is much greater. Some vets will and some will not. At the least they almost always charge more because it requires more surgical time. Its probably best to wait and get her spayed immediately when the heat cycle is over. Make an appt for 3-4 weeks.

It depends on the vet. If it is an emergency most will do it, if not alot will say to wait.
Spaying during a heat cycle can run the risk of more complications since the uterus is engorged with blood during this time.
I'd discuss it with your vet, but if I were in the same situation I'd keep her away from all intact males, under strict supervision outdoors, even with a fenced yard, and wait until her heat was over.

They can spay a dog in heat, although some vets prefer to wait until the bleeding has stopped. Call your vet and ask

You have to wait until the heat is over, but some vets can give an injection to make the heat shorter.
