Only CHRISTIANS that have been baptized in the blood of Jesus will be taken up at the rapture. Card-carrying Mormons are not baptized in the blood of Jesus.

Like others have stated - righteousness and following the covenants we have made with God. It's not necessarily "mormons" though either...those who have passed on who accept the gospel I would not call "mormons" but believers of Christ and his true gospel. We believe all the correct steps, ordianances, keys and principles pertaining to God's Kingdom have been revealed, following all those things to the best of our ability (which God knows what that is) is what will qualify a person to be part of the First Resurrection.

I ignore why this statement is hold by Mormons, why do they think are worthier to have such privilege, transcendental development of humans prove that everybody have equal rights to live and die, nobody is spiritually better than others, all of us are submitted to same divine laws, all of us are made with the same elements shown in the periodic chart of elements, nothing different conforms our bodies, and regarding the spiritual it is some undefined "power" full of mistakes and successes, that make us similar in all aspects, so in my opinion this question can not be answered in a sensible and serious way, I dare to call people thinking things like this, to put firmly their foot in the soil and be less fanatic with such esoteric ideas which lack of any fundamental and strong argument enough to convince rationally all pragmatic and open mind persons. I just believe in God and in his mystery way to manage the universe, any other thinking are just simple speculations.

Mormons arn't sure, they just have a lot of things they have to do...a long list of things they have to check off in order to evolve into a God or goddess. I was never taught what qualifies for the firts or second, just that i had to be perfect and meet all the requirements to be a goddess. (ex-mormon-was a mormon for 36 years)

1rst resurrection is not just for 'Mormons'....and those who come forth in the 1rst resurrection will not all receive equal rewards..
1rst resurrection..
.
Those who are baptized and keep the commandments.

Those who died without the law.
The spirits of men who did not accept Christ in this life, but afterwards received it (after death, but before resurrection)
Honorable men (and women) who were blinded by the craftiness of men.

Mormons are following the science fiction writings of Solomon Spaulding, which were obtained by Joseph Smith after his neighbor, Spaulding, died.

It is one of the few cults spawned in the first half of the 19th. century to survive, and the most dangerous.

Very interesting to see so much hostility towards Mormonism. I'm sure Jesus would act the same way....right, you "christians"?

;-)

To answer the question though... Staying true to their covenants is what sets them apart. The covenants I refer to are the promises they make to follow Jesus when they receive baptism and gift of the Holy Ghost.

www did a pretty good job explaining this when you first asked about it.

As he indicated, It has to do with personal level of righteousness. People are judged as individuals, not as whole religious groups.
