You can see a Massage Theraist which can really help. Or you can try doing it yourself. Use a little massage oil so your hand can glide over the skin. Try to find a position where you hand and forearm are higher than your heart.
Relax the affected arm as much as possible. Biginning at the wrist, glide your other hand up your arm applying light pressure. Repeat many times with deeper pressure. The idea is to push blood and fluids back toward the heart.
It will take about 20 minutes to do both sides of the arm. If you can get someone to do it for you, all the better.
This technique can reduce swelling and inflammation which is probably causing the pain. Try it a few times. It should help you feel at least some relief.

Try buying a brace from the drugstore. They should be kept with the ACE wraps. Wear it all the time, even at night, until the pain subsides.
Refrain from playing on the computer for loner than 20-30 minutes at a time. Make sure you take breaks and stretch your wrist out if you have to be on the computer for longer than that.
Ask your doctor about taking some Ibuprofen or Tylenol for the pain.
Avoid doing anything that could cause strain to the wrist, especially repetitive actions (like sliding items across the scanner at the store if you are a cashier).
That should help!

Injections of a corticosteroid suspension into the carpal tunnel occasionally bring long-lasting relief. Corticosteroids are the strongest drugs available for reducing inflammation in the body, and thus, should be used only after discussion with a doctor.

Hi there, you can visit the local physiotherapy department (normally via GP referral, unless you have a direct access scheme in your area). or some A & E departments or minor injuries units.
They will be able to provide you with two Futura wrist splints which you wear at night.
In my experience as a Physiotherapist they work well, but give them at least two weeks to take effect. You are entitled to these on the NHS so please do not buy them as they can be expensive.
Hope this works and congrats on the baby. Take care.

Try a chiropractor. I developed CTS at the end of the pregancy and it didn't clear up till I finally went in for an adjustment (vs surgery my doctor was considering). After 3 sessions it was almost gone. Hope you feel better.

My mum and a teacher of mine had that recently. My mum said she would suddenly get pins and needles and drop things! They both had to have minor operations (I don't mean to scare you!) and now they are fine. They weren't pregnant though and were - I'm only assuming here! ;) - quite a bit older than you, around late 50s! You prob wouldn't have an op though so late in pregnancy, but maybe if it hasn't gone away afterwards..... =/
Good luck with the birth though! =)

Check with your doctor, but wrist splints are commonly prescribed to people with CTS. Hopefully yours gets better after you have the baby.
