Fevers are rarely dangerous. The most common complication is a seizure which is typical for children and rare for adults. That being said, 104 isn't insanely high. Have her take tylenol, then 2 hours later motrin, then 2 hours later tylenol and so on to keep ther fever down. I.e Take each every 4 hours.
It never hurts to visit the doctor if you are really concerned.
tylenol and motrin do not interact with each other and can be taken at the same time.

Try alternating between Tylenol & Motrin every 4 hours ... my Mother had a very high fever last year and that's what the ER told her to do, which brought down her fever. However, if it doesn't work after a few hours, or her fever gets higher or she has other symptoms, I'd take her to the ER. Hope she feels better soon!

a fever is not so dangerous as long as tylenol will bring it down if it wont come down even with medicine then yes go back to the Dr. Drink water or popcycles or any liquid you can. A fever actually helps fight the virus. Call a doc to be on the safe side. Hope she gets better soon.

Take her back now. 104 is serious for an adult, and it should not keep going up since her doctor's visit yesterday.

actually, my boss is going through some infection right now and went to the doctors yesterday. They advised him that if his fever gets to 103 then he needs to go to the hospital. My advice to you would be don't waste time on "ask yahoo"...rather...get your mother to the E.R. IMMEDIATELY!!! Hope she gets better!!!

over 102 is dangerous, but she should be fine seeing as how fever related deseases have been dormant for a long time... just stay in bed and stay hydrated.
