In the summer, other than going back and forth to work, I probably log more miles on my mountain bike than I do my car. As long as I don't have stuff to carry, its a very affordable alternative. I started doing it to stay in shape and it works! It doesn't take that much longer to get to places either.

I definitely would, and do. I like our famous tour-de-france champion, was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and If not for God and a stem cell transplant I would not be answering this question. Our world was created with clean air and we have been polluting it ever since. I ride my bike every chance I get and to carry things I am not to proud to have a basket on the back. Cancer is no fun, Ride,Ride, Ride. and help save our planet.

Yes, and I do.
It is great fun, cheap, fast, but most of all, I enjoy it and it keeps me fit and healthy.
The car is an alternative for long distances or when carrying something.
Bus and train are an intermediate option which also work. Many times y do split distances by combining the train and my bike.

Hi there. Two miles is walking distance, 3 to 10 is easy cycling distance for almost anybody. If only it wasn't for the nutters in cars threatening your life at every turn...
Cheers, Steve.

I would. Saving the panet is important. Two miles is what you mean, and If that is all it was I would do it. Two miles is not that far, and I love to bike so sure.

absolutely - I would and do.
I live in the city, between taxis, transit and my bike - there is really no need for a car to get around.
in fact, I find I can get downtown faster that a car during traffic - and of course, in addition for being better for the planet - its much better for my personal health.
it really disgusts me as I cycle by the congestion of idling cars, spewing their noxious fumes - and 90% of them are single occupant vehicles.

Too much for me. They just need to invent more cars that are cheap and don't affect the environment.
