How long do you leave bleach in your hair?

I want to die my hair with bleach, how long do i need to leave it in my hair for it to make effect?

Are asking about using real bleach (e.g.Clorox?) Don't do it! I cannot imagine it is good for hair and if you got it in you eyes - OW!!

There are lots of good hair colors at the store and they are not that expensive.

It depends. Read the instructions on the box. My hair isn't that dark and I had to leave it on for 45 minutes.

Just read the box. My friend leaves it in for as long as she can stand it (because she said it burns).
