I am very interested in learning more about the Catholic Religion.

I am not looking to convert. I have seen and heard a variety of things about the Catholic Religion that seem to lead in a number of directions and I would like to know who Christians follow. What is a Catholic's primary focus?

I hope you find out the truth of Catholicism that,in a nutshell, relies on works for salvation and actually thinks another human being (priest) can forgive your sins.
There are numerous other falsehoods in this cult but these are 2 of the biggies.
They ignore John 3:3 where Jesus said you must be BORN AGAIN to see the Kingdom of God. They ignore Ephesians 2:8,9 where it says salvation is a GIFT from God. It IS a gift, so why are they always trying to EARN it by performing useless rituals and sacraments. You CANNOT EARN A GIFT.All you need to do is ACCEPT it and repent. Yes,it really IS that simple. No mumble jumble/hocus pocus needed.

If you are considering converting to the Catholic Church, may I suggest a few books for you? They were written by converts and I found them very helpful.

"Rome Sweet Home" by Scott and Kimberly Hahn.

"My Life on the Rock" by Jeff Cavins.

I'd also suggest the Catholic Answers website. The link can be found below:

I'll be praying for you.

Catholics follow the Holy Trinity in all things as revealed through scripture and tradition.

The concept of Sola Scriptura is in violation of the scriptures themselves.

The Catholic Church teaches that there is but one God, who is infinite in knowledge, in power, in goodness, and in every other perfection; who created all things by His omnipotence, and governs them by His Providence.

In this one God there are three distinct Persons,--the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, who are perfectly equal to each other.

We believe that Jesus Christ, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity, is perfect God and perfect Man. He is God, for He "is over all things, God blessed forever." [Rom. ix. 5.] "He is God of the substance of the Father, begotten before time; and He is Man of the substance of His Mother, born in time." [Athanasian Creed] Out of love for us, and in order to rescue us from the miseries entailed upon us by the disobedience of our first parents, the Divine Word descended from heaven, and became Man in the womb of the Virgin Mary, by the operation of the Holy Ghost.
