Chamomile tea. Sometimes packaged as Sleepy Time tea. It will relax you and help you go to sleep. When I've had a stressful day, I always have a cup or two just before bed. It really helps.

Sleepytime Extra Tea with Valerian--if this puts you to sleep too fast just try
Sleepytime Tea
Chamomile Tea
warm milk

Valerian Root supplements will calm you down, and possibly put you to sleep

Melatonin is a supplement for sleep (even people with jet-lag and workers on rotating shifts use this successfully).

All of these are over-the-counter, and available at pharmacies, supermarkets, Walmart, health food stores, etc.

Also, try using lavender incense or candles--they are very relaxing and also help with sleep.

Meditate--or learn to meditate--it helps.

Good luck--and congratulations for giving up all that stuff :)

Simple black tea or green tea and of course a number of herbal teas are available. Try them out. No harm. They don't cause addictions. And the antioxidants in tea are good.

In addition to drink, use aromatherapy oils and rub them into your skin to relax.

mint tea. Bigalow makes several different types my favorite is plantation mint. They also make a mint melody that is good. But nothing beats that plantation mint. It's decaf as well and serves well hot or cold!
