I e-filed using turbotax.com and recieved my deposit in my account on the day that it was promised.
My friend, however, filed using turbotax.com and was supposed to receiver her refund in her bank today...but it did not show up. Has this happened to anyone? What could be the reason? Should she be worried? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

A LOT of people are having delayed refunds. The IRS are delaying refind of people that are claiming the EIC and some other deductions due to laws that congress passed late last year and the IRS is working out the kinks. I was told not to expect my refund til the end of this month. I filed on 1/10 and had a refund date of 1/26. Good luck to your friend and tell her to hold on it may be a long wait.

Sounds like it may not post to her account until Monday if it has not already today. Just tell her to call her bank and see if there is an IRS refund pending to her account. Hopefully there is! Whenever the IRS has given me a date for direct deposit, my refund has always been there on that day...usually in the morning too. However, maybe hers just needs another business day to post.

Hello, Im a bank teller.
It depends on your bank.
Most banks will get your refund on the day it suppose to come but then they have to process the refund....then post it to your account.
It could be later on today or the next day.
I would atleast wait until monday and if in fact it is not there on monday then I would call the bank first... then the irs.

There are a LOT of people here with this issue. Perhaps its an IRS thing. I wouldn't be worried; tell your friend to check the link below to ensure that it was scheduled and transferred today. But she'll probably have to wait for Monday now.

I used direct depo also. Mine showed up right away, she needs to check the turbo tax website for any reasons that her return may not have been excepted by the IRS any error can cause that. She may need to call. When they say it will be there it should be.
