I think you'd have better luck attracting an alien mothership by getting everyone to sing "Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft."

In my opinion, the problem with this question... or rather... with this idea of what prayer truly is, is that most people believe that all we must do is pray outwardly for the things we want, and they will come to us.

This is not --at all-- what the Bible (or any other belief systems) teach, as to what prayer truly is.

To pray for something, we must FIRST give that, which we pray for, to ourselves internally before we can have it externally.

So, if the entire world prayed for God to show up on earth this Sunday, most people would just be praying outwardly for this to happen without any thought, belief, or faith that it will actually happen. And what would happen? God would not arrive.

However, if you were to take the entire world and instill TRUE belief -and- faith within them, that what they are praying for WILL happen, what everyone will find is that God is already here; and has been at all times. ;-)

"Whatsoever things ye ask for when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." -Jesus

I assume in the question you mean in a human form or in a form we would be able to identify as "Whoa..that's God!" and to answer it simply, God does what he wills not what man wills. Our wills don't always match up to his will so that is why our prayers sometimes seem unanswered i.e., Lord help me to win the lottery, help me not to get caught, etc... He says in the Bible " the wisdom of man is foolishness compared to his wisdom." To end the answer, God is always here and acts through those that believe in Him and share a relationship with him. Further, Christians believe that soon, He WILL appear on earth to take his followers home, however, it will be in His time though.

Do you mean he is not here already? Example; God the Father was here on earth back in Abraham's time as Melchisadek. (See Hebrews 7:3) description.

No one knows the hour, nor the day he shall come, Not even his prophets today know. Trust me they would be the first to know if he was coming because he will have three initial comings. 1st to the leaders of israel. Meaning the prophet and the quroum of the twelve, and a few of his chosen ones. 2nd, Then 144,000 will meet with him. Then 3rd he will show himself unto all the world

He will never show up. He never has in the history of mankind. Well if he shows up he will be asked millions of question by people. Is it possible for him to answers all the questions of millions of people at the same time?

That would be up to Him. He is not bound by our desires. On the other hand, if He decided you should be in heaven this Sunday, by golly, I think you'd be there. That's what makes Him God.

God shows up daily, though we may not recognise it...the accidents that almost happened, the bills that get paid just in time, the fact that your child is safe and haas food and warmth...oh yes, He shows up...and we don't even flinch...

According to the bible, you'd only need two believers to ask that and he would do it.

Matthew 18:19
Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

Too bad it never works.
