I'm looking at Samsungs 50in. DLP 1080p. I found it on amazon for $600 less than Best Buy, Circuit City. Is it the exact same TV?

They have no retail store overhead
No sales force to "man" each location
They simply have product warehouses
and personnel to man the actual receiving and shipping
and-- a small force of employess to do the online work
They also, have been in on the very beginnings of internet business and were situated early on in having their products and company name out in front of people without the extremely high cost of advertising that comes with the ad support necassary for the standard retail outlet !!!

Amazon doesn't have the overhead to pay as do stores like Circuit City. Amazon has huge warehouses where employees gather items purchased by folks on-line. There are so many costs eliminated by operating in this fashion that the same products you would purchase in a large chain are available at a greatly reduced price. They really have a great idea and that's why Amazon has become so successful! Hope that helps a bit! Have a fantastic day! Annie

Man I know what your talking about I bought my Samsung on amazon and saved 400+ on my 40 LCD TV. I was curious too and i went to bestbuy and CC to compare and it was exactly the same just a hell of alot cheaper. My advice get the tube and use the extra cash and get a nice DVD player. And I got a 100 dollar NFL shop rebate. You gotta love it.

Amazon is an online seller. They don't have stores or customer support people to answer your questions. In addition, they might be selling out of soon-to-be disconntinued products before the rest of the industry gets that news. If you need service, you won't have a store to visit. If you want to see the product first hand, you won't be able to do that on Amazon.

They dont have stores they dont ship it to stores like best buy or circuit city. Amazon is a great place to buy stuff from. I bought all my christmas presents with them this year. Shipping is fast and the products are great.

And no overhead. They dont have employees No one steals from them in the store because there is no store. Its a win win. I love amazon.

the one thing to be careful about is if they don't have a free shipping promotion its going to be a lot to ship something of that size. and if something is wrong with the tv you have nowhere to take it to exchange it or fix it without getting charged. but its probably still worth the risk for the amount of money saved.
