Change her diet. Start feeding her a raw prey-model diet and her shedding will decrease quite a bit. I couldn't believe how it changed my German Shepherd Dogs. They still shed, and I have to vaccuum weekly or more, but it's not as bad. They sell seat covers for the truck.
She will still shed some every day, we all do. I'm sure you are aware that she is a double coated dog. This means more shedding, though short coated dogs can shed a lot, too.
Proper diet will help, and continue the daily brushing. She will still blow her coat twice a year, and clump and make a mess. I take mine for a bath and a grooming for this.
Tell your husband that she'll stop shedding when he stops farting in bed.

Keep brushing daily at least once a day will reduce the hair shedding going on. Also bring her to the groomers at least twice a month, helps keep her trimmed and reduces the shedding. Also maybe good idea to only allow the dog in 1 or 2 of the rooms, ban her from bedroom, bathroom, other rooms that your husband wouldn't appreicate the dog hair around. See if this helps at all, if not then you and husband have something to think about getting a different dog is an option.

Keep up the brushing, that's a good start. A good quality food would no doubt help too. Our pets need quality pet food. Read the ingredients list and learn what the stuff on there is and what it does (or does not do) to/for our pets. A quick pet food 101. If the pet food contains corn/corn products or by products it is a poor quality food. Do not pay attention to advertising, they all say there food is great. Corn is a filler that can trigger skin problems. (allergies, skin problems, itching and excessive shedding) By products is anything from an animal not fit for human consumption, including cancerous tissue. Quality foods have meat as the first ingredient. California Natural, Solid Gold, Innova and Merrick are a few of the best brands available. Dear lord she is a dog, dogs shed your husband is really being unreasonable, get him alot of lint rollers and tell him its exercise.
You can help by changing diets, also putting essential oils on her food will help her coat stay healthy and shiny, the more healthy the better the hair shaft will stay in the body. Dont bathe her so much, people make the mistake of overbathing a dog. If you bathe the dog too much it weakens hair, breaks the shaft, drys the skin, and takes good oils away causing more and more shedding. Have you had her checked for dietary or skin allergies? Allergies will cause the shedding also. Try to cut back on the vigorus brushing. This stimulates new hair growth and will also cause the old hair to fall out. Taking her outside and giving her a nice coat massage will help and get rid of loose hairs, get a old towel and go to the garage and daily just rub her down with the towel it will trap lose and dead hair. You can wipe her off and shake out the towel outside and then bring her in.

shedding is a problem with long haired dogs you are not going to be able to stop it all the way do you have a local groomer try simple baths once a month. Keep up with your daily brushes and try a different diet some thing maybe with oil in it. Some people give there pets oils like soy oil flack seed oil things like that to help. You can find these oils at local health food store.

Your Golden Lab sounds lovely. I had the same issue with our Golden. I was introduced to a shedding blade. In my experience it has worked wonders. I've included a link with it and other products for excessive grooming. (I've only used the grooming blade.) It's painless and it removes so much hair that it will amaze you. You run it right over their coat and it takes off incredible amounts of hair. I introduced my brother to the shedding blade and he uses it with his English Setter as well. Good luck, I think this may really help with Maggie's problem.

Brushing daily is good, but make sure you are feeding a high quality food such as nutro ultra or authority. Try adding some flax oil to her food as well. if this doesn't help she may have another problem and may need to see a vet. Shedding is common, but over-shedding can be a health related problem.

Sounds like a trip to the vet is in order, could be allergies causing the hair fallout. Tell your husband to back off the dog, it's not the dog's fault and he should be more compassionate then he is acting.

I prefer hair which is shoulder length or longer, And also since that men who like females are more often then not right, they like long hair because that looks more feminine, as most males have short hair.
