i am referring to all kinds of test that i need to undergo in having a general check up. (for the benefits of the doubt...am referring to medical or health issues) thanks!

Depending upon your age, your sex, your general health condition, inherited risk factors, occupational hazards etc., your general check up may include a physical exam, blood tests for CBP, ESR and CUE (complete urine exam). It may also include an ECG, a chest X-ray, Ultrasound abdomen, Lipid Profile etc. So, it is difficult to predict where to draw the line. Your doctor is the best judge

You don't have to go into a hospital to have this done. Just make an appointment for a physical with your doctor. You can ask what tests this will include.
