My 20mo old is waking up w/ wet sheets a lot lately. He is filling his diaper at night and it just leaks out.
We're using Pampers and we've had good luck w/ them before. We've stopped giving him water right before bed for the most part, but sometimes he really wants it, and I don't want to tell him no if he's thirsty.
He's started using the potty every now and then, so we're putting him on it at night and letting him pee-pee right before bed. (Sometimes he doesn't have to go, but usu he will.)
Any other ideas? Or anyone else have trouble with this?
Its getting so frustrating to change his sheets, wash his stuffed animals, give him a bath, etc. every single morning! He's not playing with the diaper or anything. He's definitely not doing anything wrong, so I'm trying not to let him sense our frustration either. Its just an unfortunate situation.
I don't know what else to try!

My son does this too. Don't stop giving him a drink before bed, just not a big one; sometimes my son says he's thirsty over and over to delay me leaving his room, so just don't get sucked in. : P Also, I switched to the Overnights and got them a size bigger that him, so they have more room to absorb - that's the best thing. Or the toddler nighttime ones. If it wouldn't disrupt him too much (like he wouldn' t go back to sleep easily), some people say wake him up to use the potty before YOU go to sleep.

I had that problem occasionally with both my daughters, now 5 and 2, and it didn't matter whether it was Pampers or Huggies.

I just made sure that they has plenty of fluids during the day and with supper. Then I wouldn't let them drink too much after that except a little bit just before bed if necessary. I found that helped a lot.

Huggies work really well.. Try Huggies overnites, I heard they are good. Keep getting him interested in the potty, but don't expect much so soon. You are doing very good with not bringing it to his attention, you don't want him to feel bad. When he does start potty training well encourage him alot and dont punish him for wetting accidents, that will only set him back. Good luck!
