I love a lot of salt in my food. Some one recently told me that there is a healthy salt that doesnt damage your body as much. I cant remember what it was called but for some reason either mineral salt or rock salt is sticking in my mind. Does anyone know if their is a healthy salt out there and if their is what it is called and where you can find it?

yes and I believe it is called "miracle salt" google it. My parents use it (kinda spendy) but they love it, it (atleast to me) tastes more salty, but I think that may be because the crystals are bigger. Check it out it's interesting!

Your body requires a certain amount of salt
and obviously bad things happen if you get
too much.

NaCl is the requirement.

My guess here is that you want to increase
the saltiness flavor without actually flooding
your system with enough salt to raise your
blood pressure, right?

That is, if you're trying to keep your blood
pressure down, you're trying to keep the
sodium down (Na of NaCl).

You're looking for things that taste like
NaCl but aren't...

Not really. There are however some salt preparations which have less sodium and may have less tendency to raise BP and affect kidneys. There are various brands L0-salt is one but most supermarkets do their own. I am not sure there is much scientific date to back up there use, but they seem rational and are often recommended.
