starting up from the start botton?

This is how to stop programs from starting at fireup, if that is what you mean.

Go to START
go to RUN
type msconfig
click OK or hit ENTER
go to the STARTUP TAB
uncheck what you want to stop running at startup, NOTE: leave your antivirus and firewall checked.
after done unchecking programs click APPLY.
The computer will reboot and restart with new settings, at the desktop screen it will tell you it is running in trouble shooting mode, put a check in DON'T SHOW ME THIS.................. and OKAY.

programs are starting, when you just press the start button?
you must have made some quick launch in those programs.
