Per is another way to say "by" or "for." This is used in the medical field a lot. An example is if a family memeber wants cream applied to thier daughters foot every day the note would read, "Apply cream to so-and-so's foot daily per family's request." Hope this helps.

"Per" would be an indirect reference to your request.
That is, its referencing something you've specifically asked for

It doesn't stand for anything. It is a word that is similar in meaning to "as" or "by". If you say "I am sending this letter, per your request," that means the same as "I am sending this letter ias you have requested" or "I am sending this letter that you have requested." Similarly, in the phrase "per recent discussions in the Senate, the U.S. will not go to war" means approximately "Based upon recent discussions in the Senate, it is clear that the U.S. will not go to war," or "Recent discussions in the Senate have made it clear that the U.S. will not go to war."
The word "per" is considered to be a high status term, a so-called "academic" word, which makes it most appropriate in formal business situations (the first example) or in legal/academic works.

per relates to a single time as in per serving or per passanger
meaning for each individual one, so if you have 100 people and you wanted each one to have a bag of candy you would say one bag of candy per passanger so if they had a 100 orders per your request would mean the one you requsted and in per=you beacuse you are on the reciving end of the bag of candy in this case if you are the reciver of the bag of candy then the per refers to you
