I live in Great Falls! The only reason we will be looking for a new home for her is because we are moving to Okinawa, Japan and cannot afford to take her with us! She is so loved and will be truly missed and we want the best for her!

I dont think so, even if they did if your boxer is AKC registered then they should take it. I don't know why they wont respond, maybe they're just really busy. I suppoort your decision of finding your boxer a new home if you can't take care of it. Im a dog lover and a boxer breeder and I LOVE boxers, they're so amazing as well as other dogs. ALL dogs deserve a good home where people will take care of it and love it like one of the family. I thank you SO much for trying to find it a good home. If they won't accept it then keep looking for someone or an organization that will. Don't give up, just keep trying to find a good home for it. Thanks again. ^.^

Thats strange they should at least call you back or let you know they are too full, rescues, if they are legite will always take in a dog and if they dont have room they usually transport the dog to a place that will have room. This rescue may not be real reliable or a "front" rescue. Have you done some research on them? Can you give me there name? there emails? They should be reported if they are not helping you.

Im not sure about the rescue homes hun--most places around here wont take a pet from a home it has to be a stray or from a vet clinic...not sure of the rules where you live...i know that my sister in law needed to get a new home for her lab and i used my local "freecycle" to find him a new good home...its a yahoo groups thing and theyre all over the place...id go to yahoo and type in freecycle to see if you have one of these forums near you and see if you can post your pet there (some freecycles allow it and some dont depends on the group moderator....) hope ya find him a good home...

Around here, most rescues will not accept dogs from the general public, they only "rescue" from the shelters. You may be able to get a courtesy listing maybe, where you keep the dog and they list it as needing a home with numbers to reach you at.

Keep trying to contact the rescues..Please remember the rescues are run by volunteers in their spare time and they stay VERY busy. Make a nuisance of yourself. Try contacting the breeder you got your dog from also. Good luck!

she is AKC registered. most places tend not to want to take show dogs seeing as they fix them most of the time and it would devalue the dog.
