There is no name for that condition. The individual may have some odd personality characteristics that could be similar to borderline personality. In this disorder there are irrational concerns about relationships and abandonment. There also is what can best be termed as love/hate patterns of behavior. So this is the closest official "disorder" to your question. To have this disorder though, you would need to add more severe forms of behavior than you have reported.
The person may have an idealized idea or version of you and they may be denying all other evidence. So being rude or confrontational probably hasn't worked. A conversation that includes a neutral mediator (not a friend) would be the best tactic, focus on what makes up a relationship and how there is no desire by you for such a thing.

i think they may be scared of rejection or arrogant i had a bloke email me non stop even though i was with someone else and he was nasty ot me thats why i finished but he would not give up, i really disliked him, hes a mummy,s boy who expects his own way.
