I've signed the papers in the guards and everything, but so is this guy and we like each other, but we don't knokw if it's ok to date each other because were in the guards.

You can even be in the same unit, as long as he is not your commanding officer, or NCO then that is not an issue, I see e-4s in the same unit date all the time in the army. If he is an officer and you both really like each other then you just have to keep it quiet until you all get married if that is the outcome. They are okay with married officer/enlisted but not okay with them dating, yes I know strange.

You can be the same unit just try not have the same job or you drive each other crazy. Now if you actived there are other rules that come into play. But thats only if you get married

What you do oe who you date when you are off duty is your own business. While on duty if you are both in the same unit I would caution you both to maintain a professional only relationship while on duty. If you both can do that there will be no problems. I actually met, dated and married my Wife while we were both in the same MP unit. (same platoon, different squad)

If you're not in the same shop, it shouldn't matter. If you are in the same shop and each have equal rank and authority, it becomes legal but a bad idea.

if youre not in the same unit, or dont have a superior/subordinate relationship, and hes not like the CSM and you a private, shouldnt be a problem.
