Right after i installed Norton antivirus it totally changed everything on my computer. My Manage Add-ons menu is disabled(IE is currently running w/add-ons disabled, how do i change it?), I can't restore the computer for some reason, and other hidden things i haven't found yet i'm sure! How do i fix the problems listed above? Thanks!

I had the same problems and I went to www.bleepingcomputer.com and they helped me resolve this issue. The volunteers on this site are amazingly helpful and saavy. If you do not get all the little hidden files removed... it causes issues. When you uninstall Norton, evil little files get left behind still. Just follow their instructions and you will be free of the Norton monster. Get away from using IE except when totally necessary. Use Mozilla Firefox. Much better add-ons too!

Get rid of Norton...it causes nothing but problems and takes up way too much memory. Uninstall it and load a free virus scanner like AVG and your computer will run much better.

Norton itself is a virus.. a big one... we pay to get it installed. Anyways, uninstall it & better use panda.. its faster, more reliable & actually deletes the virus where norton can only find it (& it does it better than anyone else)...
If uninstalling norton doesn't gives you a better life, better reinstall the windows.

I had to chortle once I examine this, by way of suing area. whilst it rather is feasible to inflict harm on a working laptop or laptop via merely utilising a link, it rather is (ninety 9% probability) purely non everlasting. a speedy reboot might likely undo any "harm" led to via the "assailant". Norton could or won't capture the link and are available across it as a threat, yet one situation is definite, you have not got any superb to sue - lose the yank mentality. :)
