There is no God, there is no afterlife anf the only proof you have about those things is your faith.
Life is not a lie, Life is all you will ever possess, so instead of hoping for 'what's next', why don't you devote all your time to worship the very thing that makes you, Your Current Life and Your Current Existence?
There's nothing after The End.

satan is the father of lies not God. so why would God create a world of lies? our creation was to make us understand that this life is short and not to put our trust into this world but into out Father and creator! what we work for and learn in our lives is not a lie it is simply a growing process, so its to show us that we should appreciate what we have now because yes it could go at any time. this life is all about lessons and what we can get from them!

Why would the fact that something ends make it a "lie"? You seem to think that's self-apparent: it isn't.
In fact the notion of life after death is a lie, and if you're building your life around that notion, you're building your life around a lie. This seems like a very bad idea to me.
Your best recourse is to accept the truth that you will someday no longer exist, and learn to build a life around that truth.

The only thing you can believe in or trust is change - as
change is the only thing constant in the universe.
I don't feel that our existence is a lie, it is that we are
just a tiny part of the whole scope of things. Man is very
ego centric in his belief of his importance.
We all contain life - or energy - we return to energy when
we die, as does everything else. The energy is reformed
to make further life. It is a somewhat Zen approach, but
it works for me.

Everything is an "illusion". All things arise from causes and conditions, all things are changing and impermanent. We all want happiness, but far too many people grasp and cling to the wrong things we THINK will bring us happiness, but ultimately cause suffering. Life is NOT, however, a "lie"... it's just all about valid perceptions... too few people have correct perception but we all have valid perception, which is illusory.

No. Whoever told you this lied. Its well known that when you die, if you are a believer in the God of love, you get to be with the people you loved and who loved you, so its important to make and keep lasting attachments. I realize this puts a kink in a lot of peoples theories, but how could heaven be a place of strangers?

The real lie is the deception that this temporary world will continue. Consider Satan's first lie that sin does not cause death. God created this world knowing man is falable and that God is righteous and God himself had a plan to save his creation from death. When Adam and Eve were in the Garden God warned you may freely eat of all the trees in the Garden but of the tree of knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat of it neither shall you touch it for the day you eat of it you will surely die...Satan's first lie was ye shall not surely die. Satan taught that a righteous God would overlook their sin...There were two trees in the Garden the other tree was the tree of life...this tree represents God's plan of salvation.

Let me smack you across the face. If you don't feel it, then yes, life is an illusion.
Did it ever occur to you that there is more to you than what's on the outside? That which you cannot see you cannot live without and lives forever.

Natural processes are all about change. Organisms simply cannot live without changing. That's just the way it is.
We are surrounded by something bigger. And we don't have to call it 'god'.
